Yes, we all do agree that the year 2020 is full of unforeseen challenges, and it all began from the year-end 2019. Where the others kept complaining of getting bored in the extended lockdown situation, there is this one commendable Bollywood personality who tried his level best to uplift the restless spirits of the people around him, and he is no other than – Vidyut Jammwal! The Martial Artist turned actor is sharing free online fitness training sessions to train your body, mind and spirit in the most unusual and domestic ways that one can ever imagine.

These are definitely not the regular and usual body-shaping or body-building training sessions you find on the internet. Most of his sessions include very simple yet unusual methods to explore your physicality using both, mental and physical strength.

The learnings received from him that are quite different to most of the regular online fitness sessions are as follows:

1. Spiritual Enlightenment – The Divine Way
Most of his sessions begin and/or end with ‘Sanskrit Shlokas’. Each Shloka has a powerful impact of the exercise one follows, not only on our mind, but also on our inner spirit. There is a great divine connection of our spirit with the exercises followed soon after these vedic chants.

The primary purpose is to relate all your actions to your inner core called the ‘Kundalini’. One must know where to start from and when to stop. This distance can be termed as ‘Spiritual Enlightenment’.

2. Combat Your Hidden Fears
Fear is one of the most destructive emotions of human mind; no matter how essential it may prove, at times. Vidyut’s sessions clearly demonstrate how to combat your unnecessary hidden fears to save your mind from becoming unproductive. It all begins from believing in yourself and just achieving the purpose.

His teachings also state not to stop at achieving one goal. There are many goals one can aim for.
Once you have achieved a particular target of let’s say 100 push-ups; you should then next aim for 200 or even more. This is called challenging your own inner strength and stamina.

Self-achievement helps in overcoming all your fears and moving to accomplish a newer and unique goal.

3. Channelize Your Overall Energy
Most of the people know how to develop the overall energy following proper diet plans and a rigorous exercise regime. However, many fail to channelize the accumulated energy effectively. Either they overdo the exercises or fall prey to wrong diet techniques.

Vidyut’s session for the kids in which he shows how to effectively channelize the overall body and mind energy by using few unique left and right hand movements simultaneously has proven very effective to many. These exercises will help the kids to activate and train both sides of the brain.

Like I stated in the beginning of this article, many cribbed of getting bored during the lockdown. The ‘Marma’ techniques displayed by Vidyut have helped quite a few to allow blood pass through all the inactive veins in the body. These techniques have helped get rid of the pain too caused due to blood clots. (I have personally experienced my left knee working effectively now after following most of his techniques).

Marma is a technique in ‘Kalaripayattu‘ in which one pats on different parts of the body to bring the energy flow and fetch the desired results. This practice makes your whole body feel active almost throughout the day.

6. Total Body Alignment
In almost all the sessions, Vidyut’s techniques extensively help in aligning body structure. He has also illustrated how to develop a sleek, sharp and pointed chin-line with no extra fats around your neck area. The hip and waist alignment exercises are followed by many of his followers and fans.

He is also posting videos of his followers following his footsteps with a blend of their own creativity on his Instagram stories and other social platforms. This has left many with a wide range of options to begin with any exercise in his/her own way or style.

This point is strongly related to the point mentioned as above. One of the core points from Vidyut Jammwal’s training sessions is to appreciate the type of body god has gifted you with.

Talk to and caress each part of your body and you will definitely feel how your body reciprocates positively. Only loving each part of your body will help you recover from any pain or illness.

Vidyut found many people cribbing about their physical features and this, according to him, develops a lot of self-hatred in one’s heart. Love induces will-power to live a strong life in a much stronger way. Practically speaking, no one will ever love you unless you love yourself!

9. No Diet Is The Best Diet
Vidyut has never promoted any strict or stringent diet plans to his audiences. In most of his training sessions, he has just asked to control eating anything excessively. Well, I personally believe it too that you can have anything provided you follow a certain level of discipline with it.

According to him, there is no need at all to stop sugar, water or salt intake unless you have been asked to do it for a very specific purpose. There’s a very different lifestyle followed by most of the models or celebrities. All their diet and exercises are regularly monitored under strict professional guidance by certified gym and medical professionals or dieticians. People must avoid blindly following them for the sake of getting slim.

10. Just Do It
Vidyut’s sessions teach us to put a complete stop to the process of thinking too much. Enjoy life without any reasoning. Overthinking kills both, creativity and happiness. It can never put your mind to peace and will never allow it to be productive. Besides, you are spending too much energy on simply thinking over things that are mostly irrelevant.

Overthinking stops you from being productive and drains enough energy out of your body. If your heart desires to do something, and you know you are not hurting anyone; you must go for it!
